Accumulating evidence suggests the interaction between the nervous and immune systems, yet the mechanisms by which CNS-resident cells and CNS-recruited cells influence each other remain poorly understood. We employ mouse genetics, molecular and cellular neuroscience, and immunological approaches to decipher better the dialogue between the nervous system and immune system in health and disease, with the long-term goal of providing novel layers to understand brain function and diseases.
